In January, 2007, QBE Insurance Group, Sydney, Australia, agreed to buy Winterthur U.S. Holdings, the Sun Prairie-based parent company of General Casualty and Unigard Insurance Group of Bellevue, Washington, for $1.16 billion.[1] <
